Established in 1946, Our Savior Lutheran School is located in Northwest Houston on 60 wooded acres of hills, ponds, walking trails and athletic fields.  We are a gated campus, with a constant security presence.

Our Savior Lutheran School offers a Classical Curriculum focusing on teaching wisdom and eloquence. At OSL we embrace a tradition in education that reaches back to Aristotle and Augustine of Hippo.  We use time honored tools of learning that modern progressive schools have rejected.

Our Savior Lutheran School’s classical curriculum emphasizes language arts, Latin, history, and mathematics.  Fine Arts is an important component of classical learning.  Scholars at Our Savior Lutheran School participate in music, choir, art, handbells, and band.  In addition to our in-school Physical Education program for  scholars preschool through 8^th grade, we also offer a full athletic program for our 5^th – 8^th grade students.  Fall sports include Soccer, Girls Volleyball, and Cross Country. Winter sports include Boys and Girls Basketball and Cheerleading.  Baseball, Softball, and Track play during the Spring.  Our Savior Lutheran School provides excellence in educating the whole child.

Principal’s Greeting

Greetings to you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  It is my joy to serve as Principal at Our Savior Lutheran School.

At Our Savior, it is our mission to Serve Families for Jesus Christ.  We also take pride in our provision of a classical Lutheran education for the nearby areas of Inwood, Garden Oaks/Oak Forest, and the Heights communities.

As a classical Lutheran school, we provide an excellent education for all children. Classical education is a beautiful, tried, and true teaching model that allows our teachers to instruct all children, regardless of their abilities. Our Savior does not exist to simply provide our students with the skills they need for the next level, or the ability to score high on standardized tests.  We provide an education that is centered in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and we seek to cultivate wisdom and virtue by nourishing the soul on that which is true, good, and beautiful.  We are teaching our students how to think and to express themselves eloquently.

OSL is a loving community where our children grow and learn to live in the grace of Christ each day.
