This year at Eleanor Tinsley Park, Writers in the Schools (WITS) implemented colorful Poet-Trees with a new theme and look to celebrate National Poetry Month. “Dear Houston: Poems of Love from a City of Resilience” by artist Nicola Parente encourages park patrons to write a love letter to Houston and place it on the trees, exemplifying the strength of our city following last year’s natural disaster.
