BUNCHES of BUNNY BRUNCHES

If last Christmas’ photo op with Santa terrified your kids, maybe a do-over with the Easter Bunny is in order. Break out the floral sundresses, lacy socks and little bow ties – it is officially Sunday Best season! Warmer weather means that brunches (and mimosas) are to be found all over town, but brunch with the big bunny might be your best bet for snapping adorable Spring photos that you’ll treasure (or giggle about) for years to come. Here are our picks for brunch and face time with the famous hare on Sunday, April 5, 2015.

The Woodlands

The Hyatt at Market Street offers three brunch seatings: 10 am, noon and 2 pm. Each seating will feature a visit from the Easter Bunny. Children six to 11 can choose their own selections at the buffet for $25 each, and munchkins under five dine for free. The adult price of $58 per person (plus tax and gratuity) includes bottomless mimosas. Additional option: bottomless build-your-own-bloody-Mary for $15. Make reservations at marketstreetthewoodlands.hyatt.com

West Houston

Hotel Sorella’s Radio Milano at CityCentre will host an Easter egg hunt designed to please all ages. Some eggs will contain candy. But kids should hand over to mom and dad the other prizes found in several of the eggs, such as Radio Milano gift cards, a free bottle of wine and other “mature” restaurant offerings. Prices are $30 for adults, $15 for children. For more information, visit radio-milano.com

The Galleria Area

If you’d like to go all-out, the Houstonian Hotel’s Easter brunch serves a decadent display of both lunch and breakfast items at the buffet, and both mimosas and Champagne are included with the purchase of an adult meal. The sneaky rabbit will make the rounds during all of brunch service served in the Grande Ballroom, so children can meet him between visits to lavish dessert tables. Adults (this includes children 13 and older) are $74 each, while children ages five to 12 are $35 each. (Kiddos four and younger eat free.) Prices do not include tax and gratuity; however, valet is complimentary. To see the menu and make reservations, visit houstonian.com.

Midtown

Brennan’s of Houston will host its beloved family-friendly tradition of Brunch With the Bunny – a Good Friday celebration meal on Friday, April 3. The meal includes a photo op with the bunny, of course. If your little ones don’t have school on Friday, and you’d like to avoid busy Sunday brunch service, this might be ideal for your group.

Then, on Sunday, April 5, the Easter Bunny is back and making rounds in each dining room. The restaurant also hosts real live bunnies on the patio, as well as a jazz band. Reservations for Sunday’s festivities are strongly recommended. For menu options and pricing, as well as reservations, visit brennanshouston.com.

Downtown

An opportunity to divert from a traditional Easter Sunday outing: Join Sharkey and the Easter bunny (they’re friends, of course) for a breakfast buffet at the Downtown Aquarium Saturday, April 4, from 8:30 to 10 am. Guests are invited to participate in an egg hunt and pose for photos with the Easter Bunny. Adults dine for $17.99, while the cost for children ages three to 10 is $12. (Tots two years old and younger eat free with adult purchase). Added bonus: The purchase of each ticket includes 50 percent off an All-Day Adventure Pass. Make your reservation by calling 713-223-3474 or visit aquariumrestaurants.com/downtownaquariumhouston.
