Since 1921, Camp Allen has been providing kids with the best week of their lives! Located one-hour northwest of Houston, Camp Allen offers week long residential camp sessions for ages 8-18. Camp Allen is the largest Episcopal summer camp program in the nation and welcomes 2,000 campers annually. A ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Texas, Camp Allen has traversed over 150 miles and 97 years to reach where it is today. With its humble beginnings on 10 acres of land gifted by Rosa Lum Allen in 1921, Camp Allen has moved and expanded to 1,100 forested acres in Navasota with 88 full-time employees. Throughout the journey, the heart remains the same: to create a space for people to come and find respite, and experience God in a new, illuminating way. Our desire is that each of our guests, campers, and students leave Camp Allen feeling renewed, inspired, and ready to come back again soon.
A look ahead to Summer 2019…Get ready for a week of adventure and friendships! The Camp Allen staff is working hard to ensure you’ll have one of the best weeks of your life. Every day is jam-packed with activities, food and good friends. You will be divided into three campsites by grade with eight cabins in each campsite. Each air-conditioned cabin has nine to twelve campers and two counselors. You can also submit a bunk mate request if you plan on bringing a friend from home.
