Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom is heading to Texas to film efforts taking place to save the critically endangered Attwater Prairie Chicken for its new original series, “Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom Protecting the Wild” premiering on NBC on October 7. The series will showcase conservation success stories across North America and aims to inspire the next generation of conservationists.
Co-host and wildlife ecologist Dr. Rae Wynn-Grant, and co-host Peter Gros, veteran wildlife expert and former host of the original Wild Kingdom show, will be in Houston alongside featured conservation experts from the Attwater Prairie Chicken National Wildlife Refuge. The filming will bring greater awareness surrounding the vital efforts taking place to save the Attwater Prairie Chicken which are at risk of extinction.
