LaCenterra Tree Lighting

The Christmas tradition continues as LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch in Katy hosts the 10th annual tree lighting ceremony presented by Texas Children’s Hospital/ West Campus. Enjoy fun activities with family and friends.

Zoo Lights 

November 18 – Jauary 14
300,000 LED lights illuminating more than 50 animal-themed light displays, 15 miles of tree-lighting, and seasonal songs and stories. Sip hot chocolate as you stroll through the Zoo and take in the whimsical colorful projections over 15 feet tall, life-size lighted animal sculptures.

Festival of Lights at Moody Gardens

Enjoy the largest holiday lighting event on the Gulf Coast with over 100 sound-enhanced animated light displays and nightly live entertainment and much more.

Iceland: Christmas around the World

Gaylord Texan’s Lone Star Christmas 

November 15 – January 5
Enjoy the magic at Gaylord’s winter wonderland with 2 million lights, a 54- foot-tall Christmas tree, family events of snow tubing, gingerbread decorating corner and build-a-bear workshop.

Uptown Holiday Lighting 

November 24
This fun-filled family event kicks off the holiday season with more than half a million twinkling lights, a sparkling electric light parade, an exciting holiday stage show and a special appearance by Santa Claus. Fireworks lights up the Houston skies and music fills the air during the dramatic finale.

30th Annual Wortham Tree Lighting

November 23
Join Houston Grand Opera, Houston Ballet, Houston Public Media, and Houston First to kick off the holiday season in the theater district with a holiday tree lighting, live performances, and an opportunity to take pictures with Santa. Bring gently used books to donate to Books Between Kids.

100th Annual Mayor’s Holiday Celebration & Tree Lighting 

November 30
Holiday event for the whole family with music, Santa, fireworks, a glowing holiday tree, and lots of family fun.

Glisten Holiday Lighting at City Centre 

November 28
It’s a day full of holiday fun at City Centre’s annual Glisten Holiday Lighting, with snow, a toy donation, and Santa!

Downtown Galveston Lanterns & Lights 

November 24 – January 2
Marvel at a magical display of Christmas trees and other artisan made pieces as they illuminate Saengerfest Park. The park will also feature an interactive photo frame and a giant snow globe that visitors can enter for family photos.

Holiday Lighting Celebration

The historic Hotel Galvez & Spa invites guests to celebrate the start of the holidays with the official City of Galveston Holiday Lighting Celebration, a special appearance by Santa Claus, and live holiday entertainment by local performers.

Kick-off the holiday season at the lighting of Tomball’s Christmas tree at Depot Plaza. Live music, sweet snacks and hot chocolate, activities, Santa and Mrs. Claus along with their elf buddy.
