Founders Amy Barnes and Sandra Ahlhorn started Books Between Kids in 2012 after learning that many children in our local communities do not have books in their homes. Books Between Kids is on a mission to get books into the hands of those kids. Once books have been donated, they are sorted into categories, counted and boxed. In May, the books are delivered to selected schools where children can attend a book fair where they can choose books to take home, thus building their own personal library.
