If someone said, “Who’s up for climbing walls, archery, slingshots, high and low ropes courses, gold panning, PVC engineering, hiking and more?” would your child yell, “YES”? If so, the Y’s Outdoor Adventure Camps are the answer for an awesome summer! Each of the four YMCA Outdoor Adventure Camp locations around the Houston area include opportunities for exploration in a natural setting. Moms and dads love it when their child comes home each day feeling fulfilled after experiencing new challenges.
Kids who thrive when they participate in sports, outdoor games, comic book creation, weekly field trips, arts and crafts, theater, engineering, science should enroll in one of the YMCA Traditional Day Camps at one of over 25 sites around town. Super cool counselors will guide campers through themed activities each week to challenge their imagination and increase their confidence.
Ara, a 14-year-old Camp Cullen participants says, “Camp to me is an opportunity to leave all your worries behind and enjoy life. To make new friends. To explore the things I like. To get to know nature and myself.
