James Harden had the entire city of Houston celebrating after Sunday’s Game 7 win against the Clippers, but he made a couple of kids in attendance a little extra happy when he gave away his shoes.
The first shoe was thrown into the crowd by Harden and caught by these two.
The kid named Michael Horn proudly boasted on Twitter that his uncle caught Harden’s shoe. When another fan tweeted a response to Michael saying she was jealous, he replied “No joke. I was like Senior Graduation Present Right?” I’m assuming the Uncle rejected the idea.
The other shoe was given personally to a kid from Harden who autographed the sneaker first.
But if you watch closely, you can see the kid who gave him the pen isn’t the kid who ended up with the signed shoe. Harden borrowed the pen from a kid holding a jersey, used it to sign his shoe and then gave it to another kid.
Oh well, atleast the other kid got to experience one of the greatest moments in Rockets history.
