Playing a game of catch during the father and daughter dance at a wedding is a little non-traditional, but according to the father of the bride, his daughter, Kandice Mickunas, has always found her own path and deserved something different.
“She played Flag football at 6. She hated wearing dresses. She wore a tuxedo to her first communion. She lettered in Soccer and Track. She then became an Engineer for the largest automaker in the world when she was 22. I could not imagine having a traditional dance.” said Jim Mickunas.
So he threw her a curve ball (literally). Jim surprised his daughter by pulling out some baseball gloves and a ball and proceeded to play catch with his daughter.
“I was floored,” Mickunas said of the surprise. “I knew that he was planning something but I thought he was just planning some sappy song.”
“I had no idea that was coming,” she said.
Supposedly a pretty embarrassing lip-sync contest also happened at the wedding but luckily for them, it wasn’t captured on video.
