Master the Waves this summer with Surfing Lessons in Galveston, TX

Learn how to surf or improve your surfing skills with camps or private lessons by Ohana Surf and Skate.

As Galveston Island’s original surf camp and the first to teach surf lessons on the gulf cost, Ohana Surf and Skate provides an unbeatable, exciting experience to children of all ages whom want to learn the art of surfing. Skilled watermen serving as surf instructors will work thoroughly with each individual teaching them pop-up drills, paddling and how to ride a wave into shore. With a teaching model based on a “safety first attitude”, learning to cruise the waves will make for a summer full of fun at the beach.

Along with surf training activities, there is time for beach games, friendly races and much more! Several individuals join the camper’s to teach them about the Gulf of Mexico and its inhabitants. A Marine Biologist attends one day of the week to teach the students about sea life and explain how waves are generated along the Texas Gulf Coast. The Biologist will also create a ‘hands on’ experience by catching sea life for the campers to safely handle on shore.

Ohana’s surf camps also offer a photo keepsake program, goodie bags with camp T-shirts and a pizza party on the last day of camp – undoubtedly producing the most exciting, comprehensive and progressive surf camp program on the Gulf Coast.

Enrollment for surf camp or private lessons is open from May 30, 2015 until August 23, 2015.
