Celebrate 20 years of Thanksgiving tradition at the 2012 TXU Energy Turkey Trot benefiting Sheltering Arms Senior Services! The race will continue to take place at Dillard’s near the Galleria on Thanksgiving Day, November 22, 2012.
TXU Energy Turkey Trot Milestones:
- 2005: Runner participation was 4,000.
- 2010: The TXU Energy Turkey Trot moves from its long-time start location in Uptown Park to its current location at Dillard’s by the Galleria.
- 2011: The TXU Energy Turkey Trot reaches a record 12,000+ participants. The most senior runner is 86 years old. The Trot becomes the third largest footrace of its kind in the Houston area.
Turkey Trot Race Fees Through November 16:
* 5K / 10K / Wheelchair – Timed Competitive – $30
* 5K / 10K / Wheelchair – Non-Competitive – $25
* Kids Run / Walk OR Seniors (70+) for all races – $10
Rates increase by $5 for each race after November 16.
Timing chips will not be distributed on Race Day, so be sure to register online or during Packet Pick-Up at Luke’s Locker on West Gray between November 17 and 21.
