Moody Gardens encourages you to find your inner pirate for a chance to star in a television commercial for the new Real Pirates Exhibition opening in the Discovery Pyramid on March 8!
The world’s first exhibition of authentic pirate treasure, Real Pirates: The Untold Story of the Whydah, brings the classical age of 18th century piracy to life by showcasing over 200 artifacts recovered from the wreck site of the Whydah, the world’s first authenticated Pirate Ship that was discovered just off the coast of Cape Cod.
Open auditions for pirates of all ages will be held on January 25 in the Moody Gardens Visitor’s Center. Registration will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Auditions will begin immediately after registration, and will be on a first come, first serve basis. Participants must be dressed for the part, so don’t forget to come dressed in your best pirate attire! Dialogue will be simple and will be presented at the audition, but be prepared and practice your pirate voice.
