10 Things Houstonians Say

If you are from Houston or have been living here for more than a year then I’m sure you have said many of the phrases in The Houston Press’ “10 Things You Say That Make You a Houstonian” list.

1. It’s not far, like 30 minutes.
2. It’s (still) under construction
3. It didn’t rain here.
4. At least it’s indoors.
5. The bayou looks high.
6. On the feeder.
7. It’s not the heat, it’s the humidity.
8. Coke (used interchangeably for any soft drink)
9. Traffic sucks.
10. Inside the loop.

Can you think of any others?

Personally, I probably say “it’s still under construction” at least once a day.
