A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until noon Wednesday for most of the Houston area.
Included in the watch are Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Colorado, Fort Bend, Galveston, Grimes, Harris, Jackson, Liberty, Matagorda, Montgomery, Polk, San Jacinto, Walker, Waller, Washington, and Wharton counties.
A Flash Flood Warning is in effect until 6:45 a.m. for Brazoria, Fort Bend, Harris, and Montgomery Waller counties.
In the early-morning hours some southwest Houston roadways flooded — on Chimney Rock and Fondren. Flooding was also reported on Highway 290.
