HFM: What is your favorite part about being a dad?
JH: Watching him grow and learn new things every day. Watching is personality grow. His laugh makes me so happy!
HFM: What do you and your son do for fun?
JH: Chase each other and play with cars.
HFM: What advice would you give to a new dad?
JH: Appreciate the small things (like health of a child). Make sure you are involved in the daily routine like changing diapers and feedings. It makes for a great relationship with the child and it’s great for your marriage!
HFM: How are you helping to get Ryan ready for a new baby?
JH: We read books about being a big brother, we talk about the baby in mom’s belly and when I see a baby I make sure and point out that he’s going to have a little brother just like that. I also take him in the baby’s room and show him where the baby will sleep and play.
