We all know McDonalds French Fries are unhealthy, but millions of people eat them everyday not knowing exactly why these former potatoes are so bad for you. It’s not just because they are deep-fried (for a 2nd time at the store) and then covered in a bunch of salt that makes them so bad for you, it’s the fact that 19 ingredients are soaked into these guilty-pleasures before they are added on your trey next to a burger and a coke.
In the video above, Mythbusters co-host Grant Imahara pays a visit to a McDonalds factory to watch the French Fry making process and to get some answers about the potatoes.
If the video doesn’t scare you away from ordering a value meal just remember that a medium serving of Fries still adds up to 337 calories and 17 grams of fat.
