McDonald’s is really stepping up the game when it comes to catering to kids and families. What mom doesn’t want to relax while the kids play at one of their favorite places?!
McDonald’s of Houston’s recently held the first ‘McCafe with Moms’ event. It gave moms an opportunity to relax while the kiddos wore themselves out before naptime!
Local Owner/Operator David Glaser and wife Lindsay provided McCafe beverages and ‘Buy One Get One Free’ coupons to all moms who attended. The event included a masseuse who went around and gave each mom a 6-8 minute hand massage massages while the kids played with coffee-scented Play-Doh, received face paint, played in the PlayPlace and colored.
This gave moms the chance to chat with each other over coffee while the kids stayed entertained. There was also a Registered Dietitian who informed everyone March was National Nutrition Month and talked about healthy lifestyle choices and ways to cut the three S’s (sugars, salt and saturated fats.)
With a total of 11 moms and their kids, most even stayed for lunch afterwards.
Overall it was a great first of these events and McDonald’s hopes to host more in the future!
