Should You Take Your Kids To Comicpalooza 2015?

The question is should you take your kids to Comicpalooza 2015 at the George R. Brown Center this weekend (Friday-Monday). My answer is YES!

Yes, there’s going to be lot of cosplay with adult women dressed in outfits like this….

But 99.9% of the outfits are tastefully done and shouldn’t offend any parent or scare any kids. Actually, most of the kids you will see will also be dressed up and probably posing with or play fighting against the adults.

Or just trying to figure out why their jets aren’t working.

Yes, there’s also a very long line to get into the event, but most of the kids will stay entertained for the hour or so wait since they will probably be standing between two of their favorite superheros or cartoon characters.

Yes, it’s also a little pricey at $40 per adult ($30 on Friday and Monday) and movie theater prices for popcorn, hot dogs, pizzas and drinks, but it’s only $10 for every kid under 12.

And YES, there’s tons and tons of games, cheap collectibles to buy and of course big celebrities to see. This year’s guest include the legend Stan Lee, Jeremy Renner (Avengers, Bourne), Henry “The Fonze” Winkler, actress Rosario Dawson, George Takei (Star Trek), the cast of Gotham, NASA Astronaut Dr. Stan Love and much more.

If all of this sounds good to you and you want to find something to do during a rainy weekend in Houston then I’ll see at Comicpalooza 2015
