Sydney “Mayhem” Keiser has accomplished more in the fashion industry than many people 6 times her age who have been working in that industry long before Sydney was even born.
It all started a year ago when Sydney became an internet sensation for recreating dresses she saw at award shows with her arts and craft supplies. Her mother created a blog and Instagram account to showcase Sydney’s work and after accumulating hundreds of thousands of followers, one of her biggest fans – Mattel – honored her with her own Barbie!
If all of that wasn’t mind-blowing enough for the accomplished 5 year old, she was contacted by J.Crew to design a summer line for kids.
“For summer 2015, we asked Mayhem to design an exclusive capsule collection for crewcuts using her arts-and-crafts know-how, then we had our designers turn her paper creations into the real thing.” wrote the J.Crew Blog.
I can’t wait to hear what Sydney will be up to by the time she graduates from Elementary School.
