Everybody loves to grab a giant piece of watermelon and eat it from side-to-side but if you don’t want to make a big mess or you are sharing the melon with others or you just want to put a couple small pieces on a plate with other items then you might appreciate this way of cutting watermelons.
The tip comes from Mama Say What and I would suggest only using this cutting way on small to medium sized watermelons.
-
Cut the watermelon in half

-
Take one half and place it cut side down. Cut it into sections approximately 1 to 1.5 inches thick

-
Rotate the melon 90° and repeat, creating 1 inch squares in the skin

-
Toss the end pieces that are mostly or all skin and rind. Then pick up the pieces and eat

-
Enjoy!
That was so much easier than doing this…
