Tell us a little about yourself…
I’m a native Houstonian, and the mother of one son and four fabulous rescue dogs, as well as a proud “Grams” to one granddaughter (with another on the way)! I’m best known for my pink or purple hair…which at the moment is a combo of both!
Anything you want to share about “being a mom?”
Being a mom evolved from raising a son (who is now 27) to having the honor of being “Grams!” I cherish the memories and every moment of being a mom, but my new role of being a grandmother is so much more fun!
What kind of photography do you do?
I focus on children, couples, family and seniors with the majority of my sessions centered around concept shoots. Concept shoots are themed shoots where we work together to create a session designed to your wants and style – whether it be fairytale, vintage or something completely unique. I offer a wide variety of props and clothing options from vintage to couture.
Favorite photoshoot?
This is such a difficult question because I love them all. I honestly can’t choose! My child portraits are a blast because I get to capture memories through the growing years. We play games and joke during the session, so I am able to capture real moments.
Couples and family sessions capture my heart because I get to play off their connection. We have fun so that I capture candid moments as well as the traditional posed shots. Concept shoots are dear to my heart because I get to work closely with my client, and we create something unique to them.
If you could choose a destination to photograph, where would that be?
It would definitely be Lake Hillier in Australia. A few years ago, I stumbled across a photo of this gorgeous pink lake and ever since then this is high on my photography bucket list. I am obsessed with everything about this location.
