Children’s Museum of Houston:
New Year’s Noon Bash is a daytime party just for kids December 31! The annual event is complete with making festive hats and noisemakers, a countdown, two simultaneous ball drops and parade featuring a New Orleans-style brass band. A pre-show kicks off at 10:45 am featuring jugglers and dance team. The parade and countdown to noon begins at 11:30 am. Admission is $12 each, which includes the Noon Bash and after party with a DJ. The Children’s Museum is located at 1500 Binz. Open December 31 from 10 am – 3 pm.
Memorial City Mall:
During the day: Memorial City Mall is having a family-friendly event, Noon Year’s Eve, from 11 am – 12:30 pm December 31. Kids will enjoy DJ music, balloons, and face painting plus a lemonade toast and balloon drop at noon to kick off the New Year! Located at Memorial City Mall Fireplace at the West Entrance.
During the evening: Enjoy a festive outdoor New Year’s Eve celebration at The Square at Memorial City, 9:30 pm – 12:30 am. Watch Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve on the jumbo screen featuring New Year’s Eve swag, popcorn and cash bar. Located at 303 Memorial Way between Maggiano’s and The Cheesecake Factory.
CityCentre:
During the day: CityCentre is hosting a Noon Year’s Eve celebration from 11 am – 1 pm December 31. The family-friendly fun includes face painting, a balloon and caricature artist, magic mirror photo booth, plus DJ and bubbles at noon. CityCentre is located at 800 Town and Country Blvd.
During the evening: New Year’s Eve free event kicks off at 9:30 pm with live music by A Sure Thing on the plaza December 31. Don’t miss the countdown to midnight in the plaza with confetti and 60-second fireworks show from the rooftop. Parking is $10 in all garages.
The Woodlands Children’s Museum:
It’s a New Year’s High Noon countdown at The Woodlands Children’s Museum December 31. Kids can make New Year’s hats, enjoy creative art projects, and a bubble wrap dance. Celebrate with a balloon and confetti drop. The museum is offering three sessions due to the event’s popularity: 9- 10:30 am, 11:30 am- 1 pm, and 2- 3:30 pm. Admission is $8 for kid and adult nonmembers. The museum recommends buying tickets online. Located at 4775 W. Panther Creek in The Woodlands.
George Ranch Historical Park:
Attend a New Year’s Eve Historical Bash at George Ranch Historical Park Saturday, December 29. Kids can enjoy a historical mask-making and noisemaker craft and learn about “first footing.” A countdown begins at noon at Jones Stock Farm followed by a 12:30 pm special meal (extra fee) in the George Yard. Families also can enjoy the last day of “Christmas in the Park.” Admission to the historical park is $15 adults and $10 kids. Located in Richmond.
Kemah Boardwalk:
Don’t miss the New Year’s Eve celebration in Kemah! It features live entertainment, dancing in the Plaza to live music and New Years fireworks at 10 pm. The Boardwalk is open 10:30 am – 11 pm December 31. Located at 215 Kipp Ave. in Kemah.
