Downtown Aquarium: 

New Year’s Eve Family Celebration at the Aquarium. Ring in the New Year and celebrate with a delicious buffet, balloon drop, contests & giveaways for the kids Downtown Aquarium, Houston. All day. All ages. Reservations are required.  

Kemah Boardwalk:

Don’t miss the New Year’s Eve celebration in Kemah! It features live entertainment, dancing in the Plaza to live music and New Years fireworks at 10 pm. The Boardwalk is open 10:30 am – 11 pm December 31. Located at 215 Kipp Ave. in Kemah.

Children’s Museum of Houston: 

You don’t have to wait until midnight to celebrate the New Year!  Welcome 2020 with the Children’s Museum of Houston’s Rockin’ New Year’s Noon! This end-of-year bash rings in the New Year at the stroke of noon with a parade and shimmering ball drop, just like in Times Square!  Musical talents will spotlight this New Year’s Eve celebration complete with noon countdown, THREE simultaneous ball drops and DJ dance after party!  Doors open 10am-3pm. The Children’s Museum is located at 1500 Binz.

Memorial City Mall: 

During the day:  Memorial City Mall is having a family-friendly event, Noon Year’s Eve, from 11am – 12:30pm December 31. Kids will enjoy DJ music, balloons, and face painting plus a lemonade toast and balloon drop at noon to kick off the New Year! Located at Memorial City Mall Fireplace at the West Entrance.

During the evening:  Enjoy a festive outdoor New Year’s Eve celebration at The Square at Memorial City, 7:00pm – 12am. Watch Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve on the jumbo screen featuring New Year’s Eve swag, popcorn and cash bar. A complimentary champagne toast at midnight. Located at 303 Memorial Way between Maggiano’s and The Cheesecake Factory.


During the day:  CityCentre is hosting a Noon Year’s Eve celebration from 11am – 1pm December 31. Welcome the new year in the plaza with a family-friendly Noon Year’s Eve celebration; dance with a DJ and cap the noon hour off with bubbles! Enjoy face painting, a balloon and caricature artist. CityCentre is located at 800 Town and Country Blvd.

During the evening: New Year’s Eve free event kicks off at 9:30 pm with Live music in the plaza, followed by a countdown to midnight capped off with confetti and a 60-second- rooftop fireworks show.
