If you didn’t know him already, Michelangelo is one of the most widely known artists in the 16th century. He is held in high esteem by artists all over the world. He is famous for painting the frescoes on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in Rome.
If you and your family haven’t been able to make it to Italy since it was finished in 1512, you no longer have to go to Rome. These majestic works of art have come to Houston.
Presented by Brilliant, Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition will be on display for public viewing June 8-July 31st at the Corinthian in Downtown Houston.
Using the latest technology and photography at the Corinthian, they were able to reproduce the paintings in their original sizes and bring them to you.
This is the chance of a life time to see these pieces in a new way. They have created a modern-style exhibit, in which viewers can see and enjoy these masterpieces vertically. There will be no craning your necks ladies and gentlemen, which means no chiropractor visit for you and the family.
This exhibition will allow for closer exploration of Michelangelo’s pieces that also include the Creation of Adam and The Last Judgment.
The Corinthian will be closed to the public June 18-25th for a private event and June 26th after 4pm, so mark your calendars.
