Season’s Greetings!

“This is my wish for you: peace of mind, prosperity through the year, happiness that multiplies, health for you and yours, fun around every corner, energy to chase your dreams, joy to fill your holidays!”  – D.M. Dellinger

Twelve years ago, I was given the best Christmas present I could have ever wished for. On December 17th, 2007, one week prior to his due date, my son Bodhi arrived. It was actually wonderful that he arrived early, as we had not gone to press yet, and I wanted to include him in my publisher’s note for the January 2008 issue!  He has been sprinkled throughout the pages of this magazine ever since!

Although this might sound a little shallow or vain, it is not meant that way, at all. No, in fact, just the opposite. I put my heart & soul into this magazine month in and month out. I have worked here for almost 20 years now and my life has been chronicled here, for the good & the bad. We have grown together as a family and as a community. I think of my staff, the readers and the advertisers as my extended family. You are the reason I find joy in what I do everyday.

Looking at the Santa pictures from 2009 shown above, I am reminded of the sheer wonder this season brings. (More documentation of the evolution of my son.) One he will probably cringe out soon, but I can still get away with for the moment! He is almost a tween, so Santa pictures are not tolerated anymore. I am so happy we have these wonderful sedative-meds.com. Be sure to check out the Santa Sightings in the Calendar section this month. You want to be sure to get as many in as you can before it’s too late!

It is my hope that each month, you find something of use or interest among our pages. The content is curated by my very eclectic & talented staff with purpose. The editorial is created to offer a balance of fun,  function and facts . The photo shoots are one of our favorite parts using local talent and locations. We feel this truly represents our beautiful city in a way no one else can. We hope you agree.

As we roll into the new year, I have given pause to reflect on the past. As you can imagine, it takes a lot of time to do what we do here. Running a magazine and raising a family is a hard balancing act, but one I do with joy due to the people that I interact with everyday. At a recent photoshoot with our HFM Kid Ambassadors, one of the moms leaned over and said, “You have a really fun job!”.  I’ve been doing it for so long, I often don’t think about what my job looks like from the outside. However, I took a moment and realized, I have the best job in the world!

Thank you for allowing me to do what I do. Thank you for allowing me to share my family with you. Thank you for allowing me the platform to bring other families’ stories to you. Hopefully, their triumphs and tribulations will inspire you & yours to be the best version of yourself every day. That is my holiday wish for you.

With joy in my heart,

Kimberly Davis Guerra
