Hermann Park Conservancy’s Annual 5K is Saturday, November 9

image005WHAT:  Hermann Park Conservancy is excited to host the 10th annual Run in the Park benefitting Hermann Park. The 2013 Run in the Park will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2013, at 8 a.m. The scenic 5K course will twist and turn along Hermann Park’s carriage trails under the canopy of the Park’s historic live oaks. The event consists of a 5K Run/Walk, a 1K Kids’ Fun Run, and a post-race party around the Pioneer Memorial Obelisk in Molly Ann Smith Plaza in Hermann Park. The top male and female finishers of the timed 5K event will win round-trip tickets on United Airlines.
 
WHEN: Saturday, November 9, 2013, 8 a.m.  
 
REGISTER:  Registration for adults is $30 and $15 for kids; advance registration ends Thursday, November 7, 2013. Registration is available on-site on the day of the race. Day-of registration is $35 for adults and $15 for kids.  For more information and to sign up, visit www.hermannpark.org/run
 
WHERE: Run in the Park starts at the Pioneer Memorial Obelisk in Molly Ann Smith Plaza in Hermann Park, 6100 Hermann Park Drive, Houston, Texas 77030. Free parking is available in lot G, adjacent to the Houston Zoo entrance and Lake Plaza.
