9-Year Old Texas Boy Suspended For "Threatening" Classmate With "The One" Ring

Is 9 year old Aiden Steward a trouble maker or is Kermit Elementary School being too harsh on him?

Aiden has been suspended three times in the past year at Kermit.  The first time was for referring to a classmate as “black” and the 2nd time was because he brought his favorite book to school – The Big Book of Knowledge.  So what’s the problem with this big book?  According to the NYDailyNews, the school had an issue with the children’s encyclopedia having a section on pregnancy with illustrations.

As head scratching as the previous suspensions are, they aren’t as baffling as the 4th graders latest offense.  Aiden, who just watched the latest Hobbit film in the theaters a week earlier, pretended he had the “one ring to rule them all” and told a classmate that he could make them disappear with it.

“It sounded unbelievable,” said the boy’s father Jason Steward. He insists his son “didn’t mean anything by it.”

“Kids act out movies that they see. When I watched Superman as a kid, I went outside and tried to fly.”

The Principal of Kermit declined to comment on the suspension or if she really believes in magical rings.

“I assure you my son lacks the magical powers necessary to threaten his friend’s existence,” said Steward. “If he did, I’m sure he’d bring him right back.”

Here’s a pic of the little Bilbo Gaggins with his sibling. How precious!
