JUMPING FOR JOY – IT’S A BABY BOY! Red-tailed monkey born at the Houston Zoo!

There’s a new baby in town! The Houston Zoo welcomed the birth of a male Schmidt’s red-tailed monkey, named Jack, on June 29. After spending time bonding with mother Nagano behind-the-scenes, both Jack and Nagano can now be seen swinging and exploring their habitat, along with grandma Bongo, in the zoo’s Wortham World of Primates.

Every visit to the Houston Zoo helps protect Schmidt’s red-tailed monkeys in the wild. A portion of every ticket and zoo membership purchased is donated to conservation efforts around the world. For more information on tickets, times & events, visit houstonzoo.org.
