Ninety-five years ago, before television or even household radios, a “permanent bandstand” was built in Hermann Park where families from miles away would come together to watch shows and listen to music.
Today, more than 100 FREE events welcome audiences annually, and Houston Mayor Sylvestor Turner issued a summer challenge to Houstonians. Attend at least once performance, post a photo with the hashtag #CelebrateMiller, and help break attendance records this summer.
